Exemption rules
Union Street Media currently relies on Bandwidth as an upstream carrier. We do not have control over our infrastructure. As a small company located in Vermont, we are unable to build and support a carrier service on the level of what Bandwidth provides with is why we have contracted them as our upstream carrier. Bandwidth signs calls under STIR/SHAKEN where possible. Where full STIR/SHAKEN coverage is not available, we rely on our mitigation measures above to ensure compliance. We have rectified previous communication issues we had regarding Robocall Mitigation Compliance by setting up a new email address that goes to multiple people at Union Street Media. Please see our attached Robocall Mitigation Plan for more information

Prior investigations / actions

Description
The Company received removal orders issued on Dec 17 2024, 6:47 pm. RMD Order: 24-1267 Action Taken by the FCC: Brad Young received a notification from the Enforcement Bureau. The current status: Unresolved. Summary of the Findings: We were removed from the RMD because of our failure to update the filing by the deadline provided by the FCC. In the In the Matter of Robocall Mitigation Database Filers Orders released August 6, 2025 (DA-25-694) and August 25, 2025 (DA-25-737), the Federal Communications Commission’s Enforcement Bureau found that certain Robocall Mitigation Database (RMD) filers: - Submitted certifications that were deficient, inaccurate, or not supported by sufficient robocall mitigation practices - Failed to demonstrate that they had implemented effective measures to prevent the origination of illegal robocalls - In some cases, misrepresented their role in the call chain or their compliance with mitigation requirements - Did not provide adequate detail or transparency regarding their mitigation programs, including call monitoring, traceback cooperation, and customer vetting As a result of these findings, the FCC determined that these filers were non-compliant with RMD requirements and ordered their removal from the database, which prohibits downstream voice service providers from accepting their traffic. Union Street Media was not named In the Matter of Robocall Mitigation Database Filers, Order on August 6, 2025, also known as DA 25-694. https://docs.fcc.gov/public/attachments/DA-25-694A1.pdf) . Union Street Media was named In the Matter of Robocall Mitigation Database Filers, Order (August 25, 2025), also known as DA 25-737 (https://docs.fcc.gov/public/attachments/DA-25-737A1.pdf. The status remains unresolved as we have not been allowed to reinstate our call forwarding system with Bandwidth. However, we have made modifications to our procedures and process (see the attached Updated Union Street Media – Robocall Mitigation & Know Your Customer Plan 2_19_26.pdf) which we believe should suffice for our reinstatement to the RMD database.
