Exemption rules
Simpletech is a foreign voice service provider based outside of the United States and does not operate its own facilities-based voice network within the United States. Pursuant to 47 CFR § 64.6301 et seq., STIR/SHAKEN implementation obligations apply to voice service providers originating calls on the U.S. PSTN using their own network facilities. Simpletech does not directly originate calls to the U.S. PSTN using its own carrier infrastructure. All voice services and DID numbers used by its customers are provisioned through authorized upstream carriers that are responsible for STIR/SHAKEN implementation. Accordingly, Simpletech is not subject to a direct STIR/SHAKEN implementation obligation.
