EDG does not own, operate, or control the network infrastructure on which the calls are authenticated. Accordingly, EDG cannot independently implement STIR/SHAKEN on the underlying networks and is claiming the exemption applicable to providers that lack control of the network infrastructure necessary to implement STIR/SHAKEN.
