ReNu Communication LLC is exempt from the STIR/SHAKEN implementation requirement because it lacks control over the network infrastructure necessary to implement STIR/SHAKEN. ReNu Communication LLC provides hosted PBX and interconnected VoIP services to business end users but relies on third-party underlying telecommunications carriers for PSTN origination, termination, numbering resources, and STIR/SHAKEN call authentication.
