NetMedia Solutions is a voice service provider reseller serving end users through an upstream VoIP platform/provider. NetMedia does not control the network infrastructure necessary to implement STIR/SHAKEN authentication and therefore does not have an independent STIR/SHAKEN implementation obligation. NetMedia has not implemented STIR/SHAKEN on any portion of its own network infrastructure because it does not control the facilities necessary to authenticate calls. NetMedia instead maintains a robocall mitigation program, performs customer vetting and traffic monitoring, responds to traceback requests within 24 hours, and coordinates with its upstream provider regarding call authentication and illegal robocall mitigation.
