Exemption rules
47 C.F.R. § 64.6301 and the Commission's 'Infrastructure Exemption' for providers that lack control over the network infrastructure necessary to implement STIR/SHAKEN. Averson IT manages PBX instances for end-users but does not operate the underlying IP core or SBCs that interface with the PSTN. As our platform does not currently support native STIR/SHAKEN certificate signing, we rely on our upstream partners, to perform the technical act of signing calls. We are currently working toward obtaining our own Service Provider Code (SPC) Token to allow for 'Hosted SHAKEN' signing via our upstream provider to comply with the Eighth Report and Order requirements.
