- Pursuant to 47 CFR § 64.6301(a)(5), Dental Medical Automation, Inc. (DMA Tech Solutions) is exempt from the direct implementation of the STIR/SHAKEN authentication framework because it does not obtain numbers directly from the North American Numbering Plan Administrator (NANPA) or the Pooling Administrator. Instead, DMA resells white-label VoIP services from its upstream carrier (SkySwitch), which performs STIR/SHAKEN authentication on calls. DMA does not operate its own facilities-based network for call origination. As such, DMA files under the ‘No STIR/SHAKEN Implementation’ category and maintains a Robocall Mitigation Program to prevent the origination of illegal robocall traffic.
