- UmbrellaVoIP operates as a VoIP-based softswitch platform using MagnusBilling for SIP traffic management. We do not directly interconnect with any U.S.-based public telephone networks. All outbound call traffic is routed through upstream wholesale providers (such as Voxbeam and others), who are responsible for applying STIR/SHAKEN where applicable. As such, UmbrellaVoIP is not currently required to implement the STIR/SHAKEN framework. However, we maintain an active robocall mitigation program, verify all SIP users, and respond to traceback requests within 24 hours in full cooperation with the FCC, law enforcement, and the USTelecom Industry Traceback Group.
