STIR/SHAKEN signing is performed by upstream originating providers prior to traffic being delivered to SMS Telecomm LLC. SMS Telecomm LLC only accepts traffic from upstream providers that are STIR/SHAKEN compliant and provide properly authenticated and signed calls. Any traffic that is not properly signed or that exhibits anomalous calling patterns is subject to blocking, filtering, or suspension. SMS Telecomm LLC maintains a robocall mitigation program implemented on its own switching platform. These measures are designed to prevent the transmission of unlawful or unwanted robocall traffic and include customer vetting, token-based authentication, OCN validation, real-time traffic monitoring, call pattern analysis, and automated filtering rules at the switch level. - SMS Telecomm LLC’s Robocall Mitigation Database filing was subject to removal orders issued by the Federal Communications Commission on August 6, 2025 and August 25, 2025 as part of a compliance review. The filing was subsequently provisionally reinstated. SMS Telecomm LLC has updated its filing to address the identified items and ensure continued compliance with the Commission’s rules.
