- We qualify for the “lack of control over network infrastructure” exception under the FCC’s STIR/SHAKEN rules. Our company provides a waitlist management SaaS for businesses, enabling automated customer notifications via phone calls. We do not operate or control the underlying voice network infrastructure or telephone numbers. Outbound calls are placed through upstream voice service providers, using their APIs and phone numbers. As we lack control over the network infrastructure necessary to implement STIR/SHAKEN, we are unable to independently implement the STIR/SHAKEN framework. Our telephony partners, as the originating voice service providers, are responsible for STIR/SHAKEN implementation for these calls.
