Exemption rules
Ethiqs relies on upstream providers, including Twilio and Sinch, to perform STIR/SHAKEN signing on outbound calls. Partial STIR/SHAKEN attestation applies due to customer-provided caller ID information, legacy interconnection scenarios, and traffic that cannot technically receive full attestation. All traffic is subject to a robocall mitigation program consistent with 47 CFR § 64.6305(a). Ethiqs signs calls with the highest level of attestation available and applies additional monitoring and enforcement measures to traffic that does not receive full attestation.

Prior investigations / actions

Description
Ethiqs, Inc. was subject to administrative removal orders issued by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Enforcement Bureau related to the Company’s Robocall Mitigation Database (RMD) filing on August 6, 2025 and August 25, 2025. The actions were commenced by the FCC Enforcement Bureau on August 6, 2025, and were administrative in nature, arising from a failure to timely re-register the Company’s RMD certification. The Company was not identified as the origination source of illegal robocall traffic, and no findings of wrongdoing related to robocalling, spoofing, or transmission of illegal traffic were made. The Company immediately engaged with FCC staff, corrected the filing deficiency, and implemented internal compliance controls to prevent recurrence. The Company’s RMD filing was provisionally reinstated by the FCC Enforcement Bureau on August 29, 2025. The current status of the matter is resolved administratively, subject only to completion of RMD compliance updates. No final enforcement determinations or penalties were issued.
