Exemption rules
Squaretalk certifies that it has implemented the STIR/SHAKEN authentication framework on portions of its network where technically feasible and fully complies with 47 CFR § 64.6301(a)(1) and (2) for all calls originating from those portions. In areas where implementation is not yet feasible, Squaretalk has established a robust robocall mitigation program in accordance with 47 CFR § 64.6305(a). This program includes: 1. Preventive Measures: Comprehensive monitoring and real-time blocking of suspicious or illegitimate traffic. 2. Traceback Commitment: A dedicated team ensures full cooperation with law enforcement, the FCC, and the industry traceback consortium, with guaranteed responses to traceback requests within 24 hours. 3. Customer Vetting: A rigorous Know Your Customer (KYC) process to prevent the onboarding of high-risk or malicious actors. 4. We use Third-party vendors that have Stir Shaken enabled. 5. Analytics & Oversight: Regular reviews of call logs and traffic patterns to identify and address any anomalies. Squaretalk operates portions of its network using legacy systems or equipment that are currently exempt from STIR/SHAKEN implementation. Under the FCC’s rules, these exemptions apply to technologies that cannot accommodate the STIR/SHAKEN framework due to technical limitations. Nonetheless, Squaretalk applies its robocall mitigation program comprehensively to these portions of the network, ensuring compliance with the FCC's intent to combat illegal robocalling. Squaretalk remains committed to advancing the implementation of STIR/SHAKEN across its network and continuously enhances its mitigation strategies to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Should any material changes to this implementation occur, Squaretalk will promptly update its certification and provide relevant updates to the FCC Robocall Mitigation Database within the required timeframe.
