- Frontier Communications has implemented the STIR/SHAKEN authentication framework on a portion of our network, specifically our internet protocol network, and all calls that Frontier originates on our IP network are compliant with 47 CFR 64.301(a)(1) and (2). As a Voice Service provider, Frontier authenticates and verifies caller identification information for all SIP calls that transit our own network. Additionally, Frontier authenticates caller identification information for all SIP calls it originates and exchanges via SIP interconnection with another voice service provider or intermediate provider and transmits these calls with authenticated caller identification information to the next voice service provider or intermediate provider in the call path. Frontier verifies caller identification information for all SIP calls it receives from another voice service provider or intermediate provider which it will terminate and for which the caller identification information has been authenticated. Frontier has not implemented STIR/SHAKEN authentication framework for portions of our non-IP telephony network to include our Class 4 Tandem network which is comprised of 114 TDM Tandem offices nationwide. We work closely with our STIR/SHAKEN service provider Transunion (Neustar) to maintain and upgrade our STIR/SHAKEN authentication/verification compliance.
