- Sharp Media Group, LLC was subject to FCC action regarding deficiencies in its Robocall Mitigation Database (RMD) filing. Agencies involved: FCC Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB) and FCC Enforcement Bureau (EB). The matter commenced on March 29, 2024 when WCB notified the Company that its RMD certification and robocall mitigation plan had not been updated to include information required by the February 26, 2024 deadline. EB subsequently initiated removal proceedings (including the December 10, 2024 show-cause process). On August 25, 2025, EB released DA 25-737 (EB‑TCD‑25‑000385901) removing the Company’s RMD certification because the filing remained deficient (missing required certification information and/or an adequately updated robocall mitigation plan). The findings in that action relate to RMD filing deficiencies/noncompliance with updated RMD filing requirements, not a determination that the Company originated illegal robocalls or engaged in spoofing. Current status: the Company submitted an updated RMD filing on August 28, 2025 and was provisionally reinstated on August 29, 2025. The Company has now revised its RMD filing and robocall mitigation plan to address additional EB-identified deficiencies and will continue to cooperate with any FCC staff requests for additional information.
