Exemption rules: 47 CFR Section 64.6304(d) - extension of implementation deadline for non-IP networks. As a legacy rural ILEC we have a switch capable of SIP trunks and the traffic on those connections is compliant with STIR/SHAKEN, but some of the upstream providers that connect to us still have traditional ISUP (non IP) trunks. The industry does not yet have a solution for non-IP traffic, but when the industry comes up with a solution Custer Telephone Cooperative will gladly implement that solution following the guidance of the FCC. Until such time as a solution exists, we feel confident that our RMP is robust and will prevent origination of robocalling on our network.
